Acoustic design of the three towers of Milan
Our people, while under previous employment, provided the acoustic design for the three commercial office towers on the City Life regeneration project in Milan. The three individual towers were designed by three renowned international architects:
The towers are located above a new underground Metropolitan railway line as well as roads in tunnels providing access and servicing for the entire site. All aspects of the building design were covered, including the external fabric (which must meet certain noise intrusion requirements according to Italian Law), internal sound insulation, M&E services noise and vibration control and internal finishes to office, public and retail areas.
Advice was also provided for the fit out works of incoming tenants in terms of cellular office privacy and sound insulation between different functional areas, and for full acoustic design of the City Life Shopping District and the podium cinema.
