Stansted Airport expansion

Suono provided expert acoustic advice to MAG, who own London Stansted Airport, in support of their successful planning application to expand throughput at the airport up to 51 million passengers per annum.

This included comprehensive assessments of:

• Air noise (aircraft in flight);
• Ground noise (operations and aircraft on the airport);
• Surface access noise (people travelling to and from the airport); and
• Noise complaint analysis.

Working closely with the wider application team, we produced multiple Environmental Statement chapters and associated appendices, as well as engaging with the Local Authority in scoping the assessments and in answering the minor queries from their noise consultant.
